Role Overview

As a Home Care Assistant at TavTaly Healthcare, you will support elderly or infirm individuals in their own homes. You will help clients maintain their independence and dignity, providing compassionate assistance with daily tasks and reporting on their progress. We are looking for caring, reliable, and trustworthy individuals who want to make a positive impact in their community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personal Care
    • Assist or supervise clients with washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
    • Ensure clients’ comfort and dignity at all times.
  • Nutrition and Meals
    • Prepare meals and snacks.
    • Monitor and assist with eating and drinking as necessary.
  • Medication Support
    • Administer prescribed medications.
    • Monitor medication routines and report any concerns.
  • Domestic Duties
    • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and laundry.
    • Shop for groceries and household supplies as needed.
  • Transportation and Errands
    • Accompany clients to medical appointments and social engagements.
    • Assist with running errands to maintain clients’ independence.
  • Health Monitoring
    • Observe and report any changes in clients’ health or behavior.
    • Keep clear, accurate records of daily activities and progress.
  • Communication
    • Provide regular updates to the Home Care Manager.
    • Alert management and relevant healthcare professionals of any concerns or incidents.

Salary

  • £11.25-£17.00 per hour (depending on shift type and day)

Essential Requirements

  • A caring, compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Reliability, trustworthiness, and excellent communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and reliable transport (driving is essential for this role).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Availability to work overtime if required.
